QASIMI HOMME MEN'S SPRING/SUMMER 2011

My last show in Paris certainly did not disappoint me. Thank you Gregory Peyrot (No Season) for giving me an awesome seat. Who wouldn't love sitting at the front row, right?
Qasimi's SS11 collection draws inpiration from Khalid Al Qasimi's background in the Middle East, probing into the rural wilderness of a cross-cultural desert trek through time. The collection calls to an era past, returning to the beautiful tradition and mystical essence of the nomadic heritage from the ancient Middle East.
This latest collection from Qasimi Homme once again showcased the designer's amazing signature tailoring and minimalist aesthetic. All his models donned a headband on their foreheads matching their respective outfits. Oversized tops were complimented with either skinny trousers or short shorts. My personal favorites from the collection includes the zippered leather jacket, transparent trench coat and the long waistcoat. Qasimi also introduced geometrical prints to spice up the collection.
