Frankly, I have never heard or seen this label before Paris Fashion Week so I was quite excited to check out Japanese label Rynshu's entire Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It changed its brand name from Masatomo to Rynshu last year due to the Japanese tradition of changing the name to a different one once you reach a certain point in your life.
While waiting for the show to commence I asked a couple of people if they're familiar with the label. Later on I realized that I was not alone. My anticipation grew even more when they start letting people in the venue. So when everybody got to their seats. They turned off the lights and Rynshu's men paraded wearing well edited glam-rock outfits best worn with overflowing swagger. Most of the clothes were quite flamboyant and attention-grabbing but in a good way. It is not quite my style but if I were a gay popstar like Adam Lambert I wouldn't mind rocking everything that walked the runway. The entire collection absolutely screams rock n' roll from the man wedges to the fluorescent colored blazer and short shorts. Other pieces from the collection that caught my attention were the beaded jackets, drop crotch pants, tailored leather jackets, cut-off short shorts, apron skorts, tech fabric suits, cropped capes and quilted jackets.
