Like what I promised here is a separate post for the shoes that graced the Songzio and Rynshu shows.
It's funny how I told myself ages ago that I will never ever buy a pair of sandals because it just looks way cheesy to me. And then Riccardo Tisci came up with the Givenchy studded sandals which obviously sold-out just a few months after its release. I tried searching for it in all the Givenchy stores in Paris but sadly everything was wiped out by the fashion mob. So I finally gave up looking for the holy grail. So when I saw the models at the Songzio show sporting these amazing almost architectural sandals I just fell in love right away. Hopefully, this time I will be able to get a pair to add to my shoe collection.
Look at how amazing these are! Any of these would seriously satisfy my craving...
Wedges are making a huge comeback! I'm sure by now you are aware of the growing obsession of fashionistas all over the world with wedges. Thanks to Acne, Rick Owens, Finsks, Ann Demeulemeester for bringing wedges back to fashion. Man wedges are becoming more and more popular too. When I was at the Rick Owens show I saw a couple of guys rocking out these fierce shoes. I was tempted to get a pair of Acnes Admires in Stockholm but unfortunately nothing fits my size 41 feet. So when I noticed the man wedges on the models at the Rynshu show I seriously got ecstatic. I quite like the sporty feel of the shoes. I guess I have to wait until next year to try them and see if I can pull off these shoes. Hopefully they still have my size left at the store.
I'm kind of digging the neon yellow man wedges but I doubt if I can incorporate it to my goth wardrobe...I think it's too glam rock for me, non? The black ones would probably work better with my goth aesthetic, right? A penny for your thoughts people?
