Unless you've been living in another planet then I'm sure you know by now that French Vogue Editor-In-Chief Carine Roitfeld will be leaving the celebrated magazine after almost a decade of working there. Roitfeld was responsible for French Vogue's undeniable strong presence in the fashion industry. Days ago it was confirmed that fashion stylist Emmanuelle Alt was named Roitfeld's successor by Conde Nast President France Xavier Romatet. Alt became a household name in the fashion industry thanks to frequent appearances on fashion blogs like jakandjil and thesartorialist. I have been following her work for a couple of years now. Lets just hope she'll be able to fill in Roitfeld's shoes. It's a tough job but I'm sure she'll manage to pull it off perfectly...
Alt definitely has an undeniable style and swagger! Look how she manages to pull off this sweet animal print jacket effortlessly. This girl certainly has that French rocker chic vibe, non? Can't wait to get my hands on her pilot issue!!!
I'm a wee nostalgic today so I'm posting a cheesy photo of me and Carine at the Dior Homme S/S 2011 show last June. She's a total sweetheart. What can I say I'm a fan boy! Anyway, I wonder what's next for Carine. I'm sure the entire fashion world is dying to know.
