Earlier this month I was one of the lucky few who got invited for the brand launching of OluKai, Primer's Group of Companies newest footwear line to hit Manila. This exclusive event was held at the lovely Terrazas Beach Resort in Punta Fuego where invited VIPs and members of the press enjoyed relaxing massages, henna tattoos and poi lessons by the beach while the more adventurous ones frolicked under the sun banana boating, jet skiing and kayaking. Each guest was given a pair of OluKai's premium sandals to test drive in the evening while watching a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring OluKai's latest collection. Some of the highlights of the show included Polynesian dancers, fire twirlers and an amazing firework display at the end of the show.

Started in Hawaii, OluKai is a premium footwear brand created to provide a better class of products for the life we live in and around the water. Committed to being an environmentally responsible manufacturer, all OluKai products abide by three main design standards: style, durability/quality of materials and comfort. OluKai recently bagged the "Breakthrough Brand of the Year" award at the SIMA image awards.

I have never been a big fan of flip-flops before but after trying on OluKai's sandals I just couldn't take it off my feet. It is absolutely one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn in my entire life.  Believe me once you try you'll get completely hooked on it. No wonder I ended up wearing it the entire time I was in Punta Fuego.

Special thanks to my pal Will Hsu of Mosters Centaur Production Inc for inviting me to this fab event. Also, thanks to Charmaine Palermo and the Primer people for making my stay in Punta Fuego a memorable one! If you have never been to Terrazas Beach Resort in Punta Fuego then you are certainly missing out big time!

And what I wore...

Hat - Christy's / Tank - Insight / Shirt - Number (N)ine / Shorts - APC
Shoes - Chucks / Bag - Hare Japan

This is absolutely one of the best events I have ever covered!
