ANTWERPEN'S MODE MUSEUM PRESENTS UNRAVEL

When I was in Antwerpen last July I got the opportunity to see MOMU's exceptional exhibition entitled Unravel, Knitwear in Fashion. The exhibition challenged certain established ideas and showed that far from being old-fashioned and dowdy-knitting is highly versatile, luxurious and a continuing source of inspiration for high end fashion!  It highlighted the important contributions of the most celebrated fashion designers of our time to knitwear garments and accessories. The collections on display included the relevant works of Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester, Haider Ackerman, Rei Kawakubo, Walter Van Beirendonck, Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake, Sonia Rykiel, Missoni, Patou, Chanel, Mark Fast, Alexander McQueen and tons more.

Special shout out to MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp's PR David Flamée for the complimentary passes. Can't wait to drop by MoMu next year!

Anyway, here's a look at the spectacular exhibition that left me simply breathless...
