Whenever I travel I try to schedule at least one two three days just for shopping. When I say shopping it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to buy something. I mean who doesn't love window shopping, right? Well, I know some people who simply cannot stand it. But I absolutely adore it. I embrace it with open arms. I can literally shop for days without buying anything. I enjoy meticulously inspecting every single piece and trying it on. I value great design when I see it that's why I have never been a big fan of mainstream mass-produced fashion. I prefer going to those Mom and Pop boutiques where you get personalized shopping experience.

On my last day in Antwerpen I was determined to score some fabulous bargain Belgian designer piece so I asked around where to find a good vintage boutique. After hours and hours of walking aimlessly I finally found Rosier 41. Rosier 41 is a vintage boutique specializing on old collections and sample pieces by top-notch Belgian designer labels such as Raf Simons, Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Haider Ackerman, Dirk Bikkembergs, Veronique Branquinho, AF Vandevorst and the like. They also carry other luxury labels like Rick Owens, Comme Des Garcons, Junya Watanabe and more. So if you're a Belgian designer fanatic like me then Rosier 41 is like fashion heaven. Believe me I felt like a little kid in a big candy store. FYI Rosier 41's best asset is not its nicely curated collection but its fab owner Viviane Van Werelyckhuysen whose expertise in fashion particularly Belgian designers is beyond compare. Aside from being a fountain of knowledge she absolutely treats her clients like royalty. When I got inside her boutique Viviane clad in Margiela and Hermes offered me coffee, water and some fresh Leonidas truffles right away. That's just excellent customer service right there. And when I got settled she pleasantly showed me the different sections of her enormous boutique. It was properly organized based on the name of the designer so the place is quite easy to navigate. I played dress-up with Viviane as she showed me all the beautiful pieces in her cozy boutique. You can really tell that Viviane loves what she's doing because she's very passionate about it. Also, I felt really comfortable at her boutique. She's not one of those pushy and snooty people who just wants to make a quick buck from you. Also, Viviane told me that Rosier supports young artists. At that time, they had some pretty rad art installations and some nice paintings. And guess what? Viviane promised me that next time I'm in Antwerp she'll introduce me to her friend and neighbor...RAF SIMONS! This is what I totally love about my job. I get to meet all these amazing and inspiring people. I can't wait for that day to come. Wouldn't it be cool to hangout with Raf at some coffee shop? I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it!

Here are some photos I took for your viewing pleasure.

My Rosier 41 experience was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this boutique to anyone! Big thanks to Viviane and her hubby for graciously accommodating me. It was pure bliss having you guys around! You guys rock! By the way I'm super addicted now to my Veronique Branquinho leather fanny pack! I use it all the time. Hopefully when I visit next time you have more stuff for big boys like me!
