A couple of weeks ago I was invited by the cool people behind Energie and Miss Sixty to check out their first ever flagship store here in Manille located at Robinson's Place. It was a trip down to memory lane while I eagerly perused their latest collection straight from the runways of Milan. I remember purchasing my first Energie shorts almost a decade ago. Talk about ancient times. Anyway, at that time Energie was not yet popular here in the Philippines. However, its interesting and cool design caught my attention. Even if I was totally clueless about the brand I was more than convinced to buy it after a thorough inspection. And then eventually I got hooked with Energie even more when I moved to the US where I got exposed to their much more diversified line. Thank goodness I'm BFFs with Energie's Store Manager back then or else I would have been broke by now! Looking back I realized that Energie, Diesel and G-Star pretty much filled my entire wardrobe. I'm sure you sort of have an idea of the look I was going for during that time.
Energie is mostly known for its innovative denim line same as its equally successful sister company Miss Sixty. I've had quite a number of Energie pants in the past and I completely vouch for its quality. Energie is one of those labels that does not follow established trends. It concentrates on experimenting with different materials and techniques to create something new, different and original.
As I was browsing Energie's surprisingly reasonably-priced (for some reason it's a tad cheaper to buy here than in Europe and North America) denim line, the lovely Pam de Jesus, Miss Sixty and Energie's Merchandising Manager asked me if I wanted to play dress-up with Energie's Fall Winter 2011 collection. Since I'm always game and wouldn't mind dressing up someone cute I generously accepted her sweet offer. And surely Pam didn't disappoint. She grabbed an adorable Sales Associate at Guess to model for me. Lucky me!
Anyway, here are some of the outfits I put together for him.
Channeling the boy-next-door look...
Cutie patootie, non?
While I was at the store I couldn't help myself from not trying on some of the jeans. Lets see if you can guess which pair I ended up taking home among the three pairs I tried on below.
Massive thanks to everyone at Energie and Miss Sixty particularly to the sweet and lovely Pam de Jesus for graciously accommodating me! You guys are awesome! I had so much fun hanging out with everyone! Thanks for making my initial shopping experience at Energie memorable!
Can't wait to visit you guys soon!!!
