Last Saturday I attended the launching of English photographer Perou's photo exhibit entitled Perouvian Wasteland at the Ayala Museum. On display are various subjects including images of some of the most sought after celebrities such as Jay Z, Katy Perry and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood perfectly captured by the prolific photographer. I had the chance to have a tete-a-tete with the man himself (thanks to Rosario Herrera, Status Magazine's editrix) at the event. He seemed like a really nice fella whose feet are firmly planted on the ground even with his impressive portfolio. When asked if there's someone out there he wants to shoot in the future he jokingly answered "Jesus or Satan".
I had so much fun that night. I reconnected with old friends and met new friends.
Also, it was a real pleasure to finally meet the fab Jerome Ison of jeromepourhomme in person who's currently on vacay here in Manila. Hopefully, we get to hangout again before you bounce back to San Francisco!
Congrats to Perou for a spectacular exhibit! And major props to Status for making this kick-ass shindig happen! You guys rock!
Here's a snapshot of moi and Perou goofing around.
