Finally, a revolutionary new website called Honest by was created by the genius of Belgian designer Bruno Pieters to guarantee total production transparency. This unique fashion initiative allows designers and brands to openly share their design process and to advocate the significance of producing in a sustainable manner. From material information to carbon footprint, everything you need to know about the product you are purchasing is available at your disposal on this new online shopping paradigm. Aside from 100% transparency, this platform pledges to contribute 20% of its profits to charity.
At the moment, products are currently available online. Stijl, a Belgian fashion institution and my favorite concept store in Brussels is expected to carry this impressive line as well. Also, every three months starting April 5, there will be a guest designer collaborating with Honest by. No names have been disclosed yet. But I have a feeling there'll be a number of Belgian designers participating (hopefully the likes of Ann Demeulemeester, Martin Margiela, Raf Simons and Dries Van Noten).
Also, unlike the traditional two-season fashion model, Fashion by offers summer and winter clothing all year round. Everything available on the website is produced in limited quantities to ensure exclusivity and utmost quality. Because of this, the prices are quite expensive compared to anything that is mass produced. But the website justifies the prices by disclosing practically everything you need to know about their products.
We definitely need more designers like Bruno Pieters who are using their success to make a difference in this world.

Check out Bruno Pieters's minimalist 58-piece collection (loving pretty much everything specially looks #1, #8, & #12!) specifically created for this platform that will surely change the way we shop.
