Burberry was undoubtedly the highlight of London Collections: Men. Luckily, I was able to secure an invite to the most anticipated show in London.
Set at the lovely Kensington Garderns, models clad in vibrant spring colors and eye-catching prints marched synchronically to the poignant live music performance by the talented Benjamin Clementine. Inspired by acclaimed British novelist and travel writer Bruce Chatwin, Christopher Bailey's latest collection entitled "Book, Covers & Bruce Chatwin" features original illustrations and typographic prints from vintage English book covers. The graphic prints from the collection were designed and hand-painted in-house before carefully printed onto cotton, gabardine, silk, cashmere, linen, denim and leather. A wide range of functional accessories and multi-colored sports trainers complemented the beautifully tailored ensembles. The unexpected quirky mountain hat was a lovely contrasting touch. It tells us not to take life so seriously.
After the show, guests were serenaded by young British musicians while enjoying the beautiful sunny weather and drinking overflowing champagne.
Special shout-out to Burberry Singapore and Burberry Philippines for the experience of a lifetime! I absolutely enjoyed the show.
