Indeed, there was no shortage of color at Palais de Tokyo during the presentation of Kolor's latest collection. Creative director Junichi Abe utilized the most appropriate color combinations on every ensemble to flawlessly showcase the technical aspect of his creations. The Japanese designer applied advanced technologies to create an intelligent hybrid of sportswear and formalwear. Of course, he finalized the looks by infusing his signature quirky touch to make the collection more wearable, more personal.
Without a doubt, the neoprene-knitwear tops and the nylon-cotton deconstructed suits are my favorite combos from the fashion-forward collection. The noticeable double-layer detail of the basketball shorts and athletic trousers is phenomenal as well. All these and more happen when creativity and science harmoniously goes hand in hand together! Bravo!
