RUNWAY REWIND

Never in my wildest dreams did I visualize myself attending fashion shows when I first started my blog way back in 2008. And now, I couldn't believe the fact that I have probably seen close to 500 shows and presentations to date. Indeed, anything is possible as long as you put your heart and mind into it!

Last year was definitely memorable for me. It enabled me to travel internationally to share the latest in fashion to my readers.

I started my journey with London and flew to Milan to cover the Spring Summer 2015 men's collections. London Collections: Men was a breath of fresh air. I have never seen so much talent anywhere else. Only the Japanese can rival the British without a doubt! I particularly love the youthful vibe and the diversity of the designers there. It's definitely the place to go if you are looking for something fresh and innovative in terms of design.
The Burberry show experience was undeniably one of the highlights of my London Fashion Week coverage. It was truly one of the most beautiful set-ups I have ever seen since I started covering fashion weeks in Europe. Milan, on the other hand, is sartorial elegance at its best. Even if I'm not a big fan of Italian luxury fashion, I still tremendously enjoyed the majority of the shows in Milan. I particularly love the ambiance of the shows. And let's not forget the flyest after-parties only Italians can throw!

I have been covering the Spring Summer men's collections in Paris every year since 2010. And I admit that until now I still get excited every time I get invited to a show. This year I was fortunate to be invited to both the Saint Laurent and Kenzo shows. These shows were undeniably tough to get into so I was really glad to experience both. I also got a chance to do an exclusive editorial for my blog featuring the collections of Sandro Marzo and Jan-Jan Van Essche, two of the most exciting menswear designers of our time.

And lastly, I attended Tokyo Fashion Week for the very first time. Being a big fan of Japanese fashion, it was a great way for me to get acquainted with the new breed of designers from the Land of the Rising Sun. Please stay tuned for my upcoming posts featuring my escapade in Tokyo.

This month I will be flying to Europe once again to cover the men's collection in Paris as well as the men's and women's collections in Copenhagen. So keep your eyes peeled for my Instagram updates on those!

To all my avid readers I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. I wish you all the best for this New Year! And lastly, I want you guys to know that you are the primary reason why I'm still here blogging after six years! Again, let's toast to an even bigger and brighter 2015 for all of us!

Here are some of the memorable images I captured last year on and off the runway. Enjoy!
