10 Corso Como Shanghai is definitely a must-see for fashion and art enthusiasts. Its futuristic facade is enough to make your trip worth your while. Without a doubt it is one of the most handsome concept boutiques I have ever laid my eyes on. The well-curated shopping mecca stocks some of the most sought-after labels such as Margiela and Alaïa mixed with up-and-coming labels like Tigran Avetisyan and Juun J. Aside from the all-star designer line-up, expect a two thumbs-up selection of various CDG lines as well as exclusive 10 Corso Como merchandise. 10 Corso Como also has an amazing selection of coffee table books, magazines and random nicknacks located on the ground floor. And on the topmost floor, there is a gallery showcasing different artists. When I was there, there was a fashion photography exhibition. There is also a resto-bar overlooking West Nanjing Road next to the gallery if you are starving after all the impulse shopping. For tea and desserts, try the cafe located on the ground floor.
FYI, 10 Corso Como is a collaborative effort between Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo and owner Carla Sozzani, Vogue Italia's editrix Franca Sozzani's sister. If I win the lottery someday, I swear I will return to this place and spend all my fortune here with no regrets!
