Indeed, Beijing is dear to my heart since I had a memorable bonding experience with my better half over there last September. Even at a short span of time, Coco and I managed to explore some of the best kept wonders this ancient city has to offer.

One of my fondest memories of this particular trip is our Forbidden City rendezvous. Located in the center of Beijing, the massive former imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty served as the home of emperors and their respective households. For almost 500 years, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was the political center of Chinese government. The breathtakingly beautiful architecture of the Forbidden City has been the inspiration of traditional Chinese architecture. And up to this day and age, its epic scale beauty continues to mesmerize people like me from around the world!

Here are some of the highlights of the breathtakingly beautiful Forbidden City! I can spend the entire day roaming its majestic grounds, reliving its glorious past. Special shout-out to Coco, my designated handsome tour guide! Merci for showing us around!
