Summer Palace is definitely one of Beijing's major tourist attractions. I'm glad Coco and I were able to squeeze this picturesque Imperial Garden into our tight schedule. Without a doubt, you can literally spend your entire day getting lost here. To avoid rushing yourself while enjoying this UNESCO World Heritage Site, try to come a little early. Luckily, we were able to see most of the major attractions here except for one.
Also, hopefully, you are physically fit to do some major cardiovascular activities. Get ready for lots and lots of walking. There are several challenging uphill hikes as well. At the end of the journey, you can reward yourself with some cold treats. Joffrey and I indulged ourselves with a big bag of freshly cooked chestnut outside Summer Palace and some ice cold water to wash everything down!
Here are some images I took as we trek this breathtakingly beautiful masterpiece of traditional Chinese architecture!
